I know I’ll be there. This Saturday October 17 the Grand Rapids Public Library is hosting the annual Celebration of the Book which features both national and Michigan authors along with numerous panel discussions covering everything from true crime in Michigan to Native American writing and story telling traditions.
At 3 P.M. mittenlit will be joining a panel discussion on how the digital world is continuing to transform the publishing and reading world. Highlights of the one-day event include noted authors Gillian Flynn, Connie Briscoe, Dave Cullen and one of my favorite mystery writers C.J. Box.
I’ve had lengthy telephone conversations with many of these authors for articles and now I am looking forward to meeting Arnie Bernstein, Kristina Riggles and Jamie Smith among others. This day-long event is a remarkable achievement and kudos goes to everyone who was involved in the planning.
