Steve Hamilton’s new book gets a rave from the New York Times

University of Michigan graduate and Hopwood award-winner Steve Hamilton got a great review today in the New York Times Book Review Section for his new book, “The Lock Artist”, which is partially set in Michigan. Hamilton’s book is a stand alone from his UP series and even though this book is getting rave reviews I know that his fans are anxiously awaiting his return to Sault Ste. Marie. “The Lock Artist” follows the travails of young man who literally loses his voice but gains extraordinary lock picking skills. He is soon turned by the mob and becomes a boxman or safecracker. The story is a relatively simple escape plot but is as the NYTimes called it a “coming of age novel” that is “too good for words”. Hamilton is promoting his new book at six events in the Greater Detroit area and at Ann Arbor’s Aunt Agatha’s this coming week. For more details click here.
