Former Michigan author publishes book on President Obama as a young man

Former Lansing Michigan author Edward “Ted” McClelland has written a new book “Young Mr. Obama: Chicago and the Making of a Black President”. McClelland who grew up in Lansing and attended Sexton High School has added a significant piece to the lore of President Obama in his new book. The author will sign copies of his new book and do a reading at Everybody Reads on Michigan Avenue Saturday, October 23 at noon.

McClelland who now lives in Chicago where he first met the president as he undertook his unsuccessful 2000 run for elected office has written three previous books of non-fiction.
