Our Daily Work/Our Daily Lives set for 100th program at MSU
Michigan State University’s John Beck gets ready to kick off a new season for Our Daily Work/Our Daily Lives, a program that explores the crossover between what we do at work and the cultural framework of our life. This year will see the 100th Brown Bag Program which hosts authors, artists, filmmakers, poets and educators who represent this crossover. This year as an example Peggy Seeger will talk about traditional songs and women’s work and author Steve Lehto will talk about how newspapers at the turn of the last century created a new but inaccurate history of the turbulent times in the UP surrounding miner’s strikes.
