Chewing the fat in Ann Arbor Michigan with Zingerman’s

Probably the only guest who didn’t like  Camp Bacon, sponsored by Zingerman’s in Ann Arbor Michigan, was the guest of honor. Ari Weinzweig, the co-founder of the venerable deli-gourmet restaurant and author of the book “Camp Bacon: Zingerman’s Guide ot Better Bacon” put together a camp for the lovers of bacon which recently drew bacon aficionados from across the country. It also drew the attention of the Washington Post whose reporter attended the event and wrote a gushing article in the Wednesday June 23 Post.

The only bacon cliche she missed was the one about eating everything but the squeal.  Just thinking about Camp Bacon makes me thing of my grandma’s french fries, which of course she fried in bacon grease.

Read a previous Mittenlit t post “Camp Bacon” and order the book here.
